Porn and We

In Dil Se on December 1, 2011 at 11:09 pm

Sunny

So now here we are talking about a porn star in open and public, in front of kids and elderly alike. Sunny Leone entered into the big boss house and simultaneously into our coffee machine chatting. She is every where. Every one is discussing her, searching on web for her. Downloading and openly sharing her pics on ‘social networks’. There is nothing wrong we feel in doing this, even if kids listening to radio and watching TV call each other sunny and do stuff what she is doing on the idiot box. In fact we get inspired and charmed by her profession and her chosen way of life. We can even go ahead and announce a movie on her where she don’t even have to take her cloths off or suck upon men to get paid.

There is nothing wrong in porn. Every one watches fantasizes it. Every teen has his/her favorite porn star and dedicated porn type. But it is something very personal and intimate. You don’t talk with your spouse or boss about your porn collection. It is personal treasure. Unfortunately this personal treasure is now opened wide to everyone. Without any age discrimination. A 5 year old now asks his father what a porn star does? Is it the same what you and mom did?? Kids are curious, they are fragile and delicate. What they are watching and listening so openly now is something which they are too young to apprehend. This is one such area of life where you are fortunate if you learn by your own. At the right time from the right source. A civilization where commercial sex (Porn) is so widely accepted is sure to degrade.

Kids and Porn

Kids and Porn

It’s not only the toddlers who I am worried for early exposure to the porn industry. I am also worried about our generation where struggling actors and actresses are not hesitating to shed their cloths or dignity to get some name and fame. These are most vulnerable to the general sprouting and acclamation of porn actors in Indian context. The porn industry which is illegal in India will get these cheap and willing actors who will be ready to do ‘anything’ for money. And just like american example the Indian porn industry will also grow and surpass the bollywood.

If such environment of free sex and liberal porn industry flourishes. It will certainly give rise to ‘amateur sex clips’ and ‘hidden camera’ traps. Which will eventually lead to more honor killings and suicides as shown in Dev D where the unfortunate father of a wasted girl commits suicide and hence pushes his kid to world of prostitution. The cases of Sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies, child birth will increase. The lack of abortion rules will cause birth of many unwanted children and unmarried mothers. These are no any hypothetical imaginations. This is what had happened to USA once. And can happen to India also.

Some may say grow up, open up, leave your typical Indian hypocrisy. I’ll say fuck off… Keep your hands on your own crotch. Things to be done in private, are better done that way. Praising and accepting this with a tag of modern thinking is sheer bull shit. If you want to watch porn bloody watch it on your own home theater but do not display or praise it on a freaking national TV.

A Rat Story

In Story on August 25, 2011 at 2:36 pm

In a land far far near to us there was a rat-colony. 1 billion rats in a very big farm. The farm was huge. The farmer was an intelligent guy. He diversified his production. Someplace he planted cash crops and somewhere food grains. The rats would live in his farm. They had borders and limit just like a big country. Depending upon the availability of the resources to the rats they had chosen their occupation. Some rats were trading cash crops and getting rich, some were harvesting and storing food grains. Merchant rats would buy food from one area and sell it to the commercial area. Rats who were into trading and living in cash rich areas became educated. They learned the tricks of trade and knew that money rules. On the other hand food harvesting rats were uneducated, they were working hard and long but were not paid enough to get better schooling or any awareness like the rich rats. Their standard of living was drowning, less money meant less facilities for them, which in turn meant more hard work and lesser intellectual growth.

Farmer was living in a developing country. He had to produce more food to satisfy hunger of his countrymen. So he planted more grains and paddy. The cash crops were small but his profit margin was higher from them. Farmer would give all facilities and his earnest attention towards the cash crops. These blessings from farmer meant good business for trading rats but that also meant only few among 1 billion to be benefited. Majority rats who were harvesting and storing food were uneducated, living in adverse conditions and working hard but earning very less.

Rich rats would take advantage of this. They would exploit these poor ones and build there empire, they would grow rich and intelligent, while poor one would grow poor and stay ignorant. Owing to their near foolish ignorance they were manipulated by rich and powerful ones, making the exploitation and injustice more prominent than ever. The economical barrier between the rats was increasing and farm harmony was becoming unstable.

In the mean time farmer’s developing country progressed. He started producing more cash crops, which in turn caused more rats to go into trading and become educated and more intelligent. The Neo-Rich rats understood the anarchy and started demonstrating against it. They demanded and eventually established a system which would keep the rich rats in reins of Bureauc-rats. Bureauc-rats were the ultimate authority. They were chosen from rats and were representatives of their race or area. They had power bestowed upon them by their followers, their merciers, they would use that power to keep the rich in control as well as maintaining their authority among their followers. The Bureauc-rats were now means of exploiting the rich as well as the poor.

But they had to pay price for that. Being the rulers of and elected from Democ-rats, these Bureauc-rats had to satisfy them, control them and sometimes even crush them to keep them under their power. The money required for doing so would come from Rich-rats which in turn will obtain from poor-rats. The cycle of exploitation and power hunger grew so much so more that it trembled and unsettled the minds of few other neo-educated rats.

They observed that the Bureauc-rats, whom they believed to be honest and protectors from exploitation by rich rats, have turned their back. They are now just earning money from rich and using it to stay in power. Bureauc-rats are unmoved by any force or any pressure from Democ-rats, they were just exploiting rich and poor alike. But neo-educated rats were helpless, they could not move an inch towards Bureauc-rats to harm them or even touch them cause the system by which the farm operated itself was entirely corrupt.

Harvesting rats were too poor or too ignorant to know anything about their exploitation, They used to consider their representative chosen on the basis race, area, language or dynasty as their leader and do whatever they can to put him in power and make him a Democ-rat. The Democ-rat so chosen when elected into ruling party, and becoming part of the ruling committee would then become a Bureauc-rat. The Bureauc-rat has to maintain his position. He would do that buy satisfying his loyal rats. As a natural tendency he would prefer  rats of his race, his area, his language. He would keep them satisfied or keep them horrified to stay in power. He may use any illicit method to obtain what he wanted the most, the power.

The young rats who saw all this and learned knew one thing, The power will come from money. Doesn’t matter if you are earning it from right way or wrong. They started paying bribes and asking for black money. No one cared for law or the government. Big trading companies would literally buy the Bureauc-rats and keep them in their service who in turn guaranteed Bureauc-rats the power. Each rat was bribing and the whole system was a mess.

The farmer was fed up of so many rats in his farm. He called up a sage to get rid of this rat menace. The sage has power to read animal behavior and understand their doings. He saw the Rat system. He saw how some intelligent rats are already fleeing to other farms where there is more security and a better standard of living. How some harvesting rats are committing suicide succumbing under the anarchy of middle rats. How the inflation is leaving rats hungry and kids dying. How Other field rats are attacking them and looting their hard earned food. How there is hell everywhere.

The sage went back to the farmer. He said that the devil of corruption has already infected the rats, they will no longer live in your farm. You don’t have to move a finger against them to kill and drive them away from your farm. They have already moved to path of their extinction and sooner or later you will get rid of them. And they themselves will be there to blame.

Oh My God!! Its Raining!!

In Dil Se on June 6, 2011 at 8:23 pm

Rain

The emotions behind this expression can be anything. It can be a romantically excited sigh of young love birds. Joyful scream of a football crazy lad. Irritated curse of a hurrying house woman running towards cloth drying line or a surprised expression out of a young man dressed in office formals caught by unannounced rain on his way to work.

Rain brings mixed feeling to the world. From a joyous celebration of new life to a choked gutters of old sewer lines. Every one acknowledges the rain. It does not come in stealth mode like winter nor it comes in full bloom like summer. It comes like a long distant relative, who arrives undeclared but brings joy to the family. For me the meaning of its arrival has changed since when I was a little kid. Every rainy Monsoon is new for me. More like a start of all new life every year.

When I was a little kid I used to embrace the first rain at my grandpa’s house. The old house was in typical Indian village. We cousins used to gather there for our summer vacations. It had a huge front yard with a cow shed, few Mango trees, a Banyan tree, A huge pile of hay for cattle, a small servant quarter, a well and a big farm just beyond the bushy fence. We used to play there day and night through out the summer. But then On one fine day hot summer weather will start to change. Black clouds will gather and big thunderous lightening will brighten the whole world. Every thing will go air bound in minutes. Girls would scream and run inside the house. Boys will remain outside as if to fight the storm out. We would jump on the hay pile, blow the leaves into the air with our hand. The whole world used to look like into a marry dance to welcome the annual guest of Nature, The Monsoon. After the thunderous announcement first rain would finally arrive. Sheets of water droplets from heaven with strong Geosmin would fall on earth. Everything used to get drenched in the first shower. Grandpa would join us kids into the rain along with the whole family. The first rain is believed to be holy. Getting drenched in it will remove all your illness and make you ready for yet another year. The first rain dance of the season was more than just a joy for a little kid in me.

As I grew older and started going to school arrival of June changed its meaning. The scent of first drop on soil used to bring along the scent of new school uniform and new books. Schools used to reopen just after the first rain. All the joy of carefree and boundless summer fun used to go into tight schedule of school and homework. The wet raincoats in class rooms, muddy shoes and soiled cloths would dampen the summer fun. Occasional offs due to heavy rain and a game or two of football in knee deep mud was part of rare Monsoon fun in those days. Bicycle rides through the mud on way to school, scoldings of teachers and mother alike for unnecessary getting the uniform spoiled, Hot chocolate milk and Halwa on catching the mandatory cold. Warm blanket, an awesome book and rocking chair with drizzle of rain on a compulsory sick off owing to the cold still brings warmth in my heart. The Monsoon memories of my teenage are still warm like hot chicken soup in my soul.

College Monsoons were no different from the school days, except the muddy cycle rides were exchanged with long bike drives, football volleyball games were frequent on college’s lush green ground. Bhutta, Sutta, Chai and Samosa would warm the cold shivering days. Long drives into the chilly hills with someone special for the first kiss, Unforgettable moments of taking hands in hand and smelling those intoxicating wet hair drenched in the rain for the first time, feeling that warmth trickling down from her lips into your heart. The passion of first love, the excitement, the shivers and then blaming each other for cold and fever that resulted from the brief encounter in the rain. That’s how rain brought romance in my crazy teenage life.

Now the equation has changed. The joy of life, The joy of romance that comes from first rain has gone. All I have to search for is my last year’s umbrella from the attic, I have to get new shoes for protecting against heavy rain, change routes to avoid water clogged area, I curse small kids playing in mud for spoiling my cloths by water splashes. I get worried looking at the young couples walking in knee deep sewer water. I boil tap water and store it to get rid of the microbes that come from the rains. I hate traveling on road and unknown routes for the possibility of traffic jams or any mishap. I don’t eat from roadside for fear of diseases. I start my home medication from the slightest sign of flue. Everything that I used to like about rain has now changed into my hatred.

Where is that kid who used to dance in the rain? Where is that boy who used to play in mud? And where is that lovely couple who used to kiss every time the land is drenched in water?

No.. The rain has not changed!! I am changed!!

Save Trees or Use Rubber

In Dil Se on May 31, 2011 at 10:40 pm

Life is hell these days, isn’t it?

Global warming, deforestation, rise in temperature, rise in sea level, natural calamities are making it worse for planet earth. We are facing problems like financial crisis, unemployment, food shortage, high property rates, costly health services, costly education and deadly competition. The situation is so harsh that it feels awful to be alive in this era. If this is so bad for us I can’t even imagine how bad it will be for coming generations.

In last hundred years half of the Earth’s mature tropical forests have been destroyed. In race of industrialization our grand fathers have left us with a highly polluted atmosphere and a life style that asks for more damage to the planet earth. The comfort and ease of living has increased the life expectancy and life style requirements. Greater financial needs and higher social protocols have caused for a stiffer competitive scenario. Larger populations and lesser habitable land are causing smaller houses and crowded cities. Unfortunately we are paying for sins of our grand fathers. But think what are we going to leave behind for our children?

They say 80% of tropical forest will be lost by 2030. Oil resources will run out by 2050. Sea level rise will drown two third of world’s major cities by end of this century. Food supplies will not be sufficient to feed all the humans. Land will no longer remain fertile given to the extensive use of chemical fertilizers. New generation machines and equipments will reduce the human involvement in industrial production resulting to lesser wages and fewer jobs. Unimaginable competition for higher education in race of acquiring high paying top class jobs will demand more out of tender brains. Extensive training and performance enhancing drugs will raise the bar for sports persons high up. Cities will grow and crowd. No more place for kids to play and grow under open sky and clear air.

Future will be gloomier if another world war strikes. The pure drinking water, depleting oil reserves, natural gas resources are already becoming issues for tussle between countries. If any one out of them decides to deploy a nuclear missile anywhere on earth it will start an all out war among all nations. Earth will no longer remain a place to live for humans. We will be wiped out in matter of days. The life on earth will surely survive but not with the human life.

This dark picture of future is not something purely out of imagination. We have already traveled a great distance towards it till date. If we don’t realize and change our course to the doom in time, we are sure to just be a part of history. Living a human life without caring for nature or rest of planet earth is not an option today. If we want our next generations to see the light of the day and a healthy atmosphere to grow and prosper we have to take steps accordingly. Save and restore the nature as much as you can. Conserve and judiciously use the natural resources. Make a habit of keeping a check on your requirements and utilization. Do not waste water, electricity, fuel and money. They are natural resources use them wisely. Cause no one but your own children will miss if you waste them today.

On a closing note,

Save earth.. save planet… save trees or just use rubber to eliminate the next generation at the very beginning.

Do Not Reinvent the Wheel Copy Paste it

In Dil Se on May 26, 2011 at 11:41 pm

They say the prehistoric human who first invented a wheel didn’t know what he was doing. He might have seen round boulders rolling down faster than the square one and that might be the flash of genius for invention of wheel. Since then we have come far from heavy stone wheels to alloy wheels and even moving further to spoke less wheels. But the basic concept of having a round circular minimum friction element to ease the movement of heavier irregular element over the surface of earth has not changed. So that does not mean we have invented various wheels but that means we just innovatively found various ways to use the wheel.

Most of the times in our professional life especially when we are infants crawling into the corporate world we do not understand the meaning of this “not reinventing the wheel” term. When you are an engineering graduate freshly out of oven of practical and manual calculations you tend to verify everything you do with a critical scale. You do not believe in the rule of thumb or standard practices anymore. You feel that being an engineering graduate you should know what goes behind this stuff. How every stuff works? You then start digging into the matter; you question age old standards and practices. You try to make difference by adding your own inventions. Your efforts can be right, logically correct but utterly useless.

Unfortunately this world does not revolve around technical superiority. This era demands innovation not invention. Innovations are someone else’s invention wrapped and decorated by your intelligence. Many of these innovations have copy pasting as a major inspiration. Innovations cannot be pulled out of thin air. Each innovation needs to have an invention in its backbone. Hence to make some innovative findings we have to copy paste the original invention and edit, re-paste, debug and rerun it to make it look like an innovation. The decorated innovations sell. No one looks back into the source of cntrl-c. There should be no shame in doing copy pasting if it is easing out some efforts. Although a true copy paster should not be a blind person otherwise there will be some invention to happen for sure.

I believe in copy pasting. Every engineer does that during submission period. All the practicals and journals are copy pasted. No one has his Final year project report entirely drafted by him without any kind of wikian copying. It’s not cheating to copy if you have read the whole thing. But blind cntrl-c, cntrl-v exercise does not help. You should at least change the format, active voice to passive voice, combine sentence al the grammar you learned in fifth grade will help to innovate your reports. The same goes correct for your deliverables in a project. Copy and paste whole world is balanced on these two things. It starts from copying phonetics in early childhood to the end of the life. It is the eternal truth and gets better by every cntrl-v hit. It is no shame in copying from a learned in exam, after all you are the one who is writing in the exam, you should get all the marks you deserve. Why to re-invent something which is already available in the answer sheet of neighbouring nerd?

On a closing note I want to remind you all that all the inventions are result of great hard work of their inventors, but all the innovations are result of further more hard work and dedication of the innovators. To innovate you have to do the copy pasting but it’s your ability and skill that make you different if someone else can find your cntrl-v worth another cntrl-c.

Osama dead, Whats Next?

In Dil Se on May 6, 2011 at 1:41 pm

Osama Bin Laden murdered by USA navy seals in Pakistani city of Obbattabad, one hour drive from Pakistan capital Islamabad and 10 mins walk from Pakistan Military academy. This event is mere a facades to a great military and political drama that is still behind the banner.

Killing of Osama is a great milestone for America in its war against terror. Last ten to fifteen years America has constantly been on war. Every president since then has wedged war on Middle East. Clinton attacked Iraq for hiding chemical weapons in 1997. George W Bush wedged war, Crusade, against Afghanistan to avenge the 9/11 attack in 2001. Recently in Barack Obama intervened in Libya under the name of peace keeping in 2011. These wars have been a part of American society from past decades and have affected them in deep.

American hunger for war is purely because of its weapon business. Each war has given the world a peep through in to the future of military technology. More agile planes, stronger tanks, accurate missiles, deadly guns, night visions, surveillance gadgets, warships, submarines, intercontinental missiles, cruise missiles. Americans sell all these products and as a marketing strategy they have to demonstrate their performance through actual field experience. America cannot fight war on its land. It takes major portion of its continent and is neighbored by friendly Canada. Middle African terrain is not suitable for American heavy weight war gears. Europe, Australia, Russia and China are too powerful to play wars. So what remains as ideal place than Middle East to show off the military might?

Middle East is dangerously close to arch rival of weapons business Russia, Bordered by financial threat and country of world’s biggest army China. It’s vicinity with Europe can guaranty a safe retreat in allied countries, and strong reinforcements by NATO. Its deserted terrain and clear sky can be great advantage for heavy military gears and fighter jets. Hence what American has to do is to stage a war scenario and make the guns perform.

Apart from marketing weapons, Wars in Middle East give America a greater political advantage. Just like war in Vietnam was fought when Japan was emerging and threatening US’s economic monotony. America wants her army near threatening China and Russia. Military invasion in Pakistani land for killing Osama has now created a tussle between the US officials and Pakistani “Administration”. Now US can also wedge a war against Pakistan and move its army in to Pakistan so as to keep a constant pressure on countries like China and India. A move which can lead to more confrontations between USA and these emerging countries.

On the other hand, declaring world free of Osama Bin Laden can mean end of terrorism for ignorant American voters. The surge in Obama’s popularity is evident of the rise in in-land political power of Obama Administration and a nationwide acceptance of Obama policies. If he chooses to withdraw forces from Afghanistan and declares the closure of War against terrorism, that will mean the return of Army personals from battle field in another year and a welcoming rise in economy as a sweet gesture of end of war. That means by the end of his term Obama will be a favorite of American voters as he will be the president, who ended a decade long war, elevated the economy after recession and brought back the distant loved ones. It is a great political drama to secure another term in White House.

On an ending note, I feel this whole fiasco is leading a great rumble in the world politics which will now directly affect us Indians because of its geographical vicinity. I am not a foreign expert on these issues, but as a daily reader of News paper I am speculating what news may come in coming years. Those who may read it and find interesting please do reply. Expert comments are welcome!

Are you Mr. Right?

In Dil Se on April 19, 2011 at 2:17 pm

Are you Mr. Right?

This question is oblivious to you being a woman or a man. Yeah girls, even men ask the same question to themselves everyday. A new breed of metro-sexual men who are insecure about themselves ask this question everyday to the mirror. Am I the Mr. Right? Will I be a choice of any Ms. Right? Is someone searching for me right now? Or will I be one of those unlucky 86 (914 sex ratio in India 😦 ) Do I look good? Do I smell good? Why that other guy is so popular among girls and not me?

If you are a guy reading this perhaps the one who stumbled upon this through Google search then see yourself once again. Do you have a big tummy growing around your west because of inactivity in real world? Or Do you spend 80% of your time searching babes on internet and getting high by dirty chatting with them? Do you have phone pals? You can be extremely funny with an online girl-friend but stammer in front of a female receptionist. If you have even one of these characteristics then perhaps some where deep in your mind you know that you are one of those unlucky 86. You know you are not gonna get the girl you yearn for.

Girls, this breed of digital males is increasing these days. Since the time girls have started choosing their mates, males have become insecure. They think there is no point in fighting among themselves when the most eligible female mate can easily be wooed by a non compatible male. Because of this insecurity these males have started to become obsessed by female ideas of perfect male. That is Mr. Right. Now the question arises how to become Mr. Right?

As we know Woman mind is the most mysterious place in universe. Seeking an answer there is like searching for source of light in black hole. And searching for answer to “Mr. Right” question is beyond scope of male brain. So what do males do? They compare themselves with most successful males. TV/Movie stars, Sport stars etc. They try to become like them. Working out, protein diets, facials, make ups, apparels, accessories have become a part of their obsession. They have started taking care of their complexion, hair, diet, figure, looks. They started waxing, plucking, threading, dying. In the race of becoming the Mr. Right they are actually loosing their Macho image.

But then do all these feminine obsession really succeed? Now this is utmost important question to both the sexes who are reading this. Girls/Boys what do you think about a guy who talks about SPF 40 sunscreen better than Petronas W02 car? or a guy who skips a sports bar hang out for an appointment with hair dresser? Surely you gonna doubt about existence of his testicle sack. But then that’s the reality. There are men getting counseling for  after break up depression. Men who are made polygamous by nature why get devastated after loosing one female mate (in most of cases without mating) ? And do you think these are the Males nature will consider for propagating Human species?

Mr. Right is totally a female concept. To become a Mr. Right is like being born from female “Brain” rather than from her womb. If you think you want to be Mr. Right then be yourself. Be Macho, be testorious not like a sissy. I know girls will agree to me when i say they will choose a guy with testicle sack than a guy with make up kit.

On a closing note i would like to quote a Chinese guy from China Town

“Be a Man, Do the Right thing”

War clouds over Mohali

In Dil Se on March 28, 2011 at 12:31 am

India Pakistan are going to clash against each other in yet another epic battle of cricket world cup this Wednesday. This match is always considered more like a war than a simple sport. Cricket is a religion in Indian subcontinent. 3 out of 4 nations qualified for semis this year are from this region. India & Pakistan are two of them and only one will sail through into the finals. It’s an important match not only for players or for the cup but also for the emotions of more than one billion population of these two countries.

India & Pakistan have always been the rivals. Rivalry in politics, economics, development, international affairs, sports, defense almost everything. Its a quarrel began with the separation and seems like to be continuing ever since. Wars in 1965, 1971 & 1999 have clearly shown the tussle between the neighbors to the world. 2009 Attack on Mumbai was backed up by Pakistan. Back to back nuclear tests by India Pakistan in 1998 to prove each others capabilities. This all adds up to the extreme tension these two neighbors have since last 60 odd years.

And a religious cricket match is a medium to vent out that tension.

Cricket world cup is more than a cup for these two countries. Specially in India where players homes are set ablaze for an early exit out of 2007 world cup. And for Pakistan where national teams coach is killed for the similar reason in same year. In every match against each other these rival teams fight like a war. With near to killing instinct. Not only the players but also the cricket fanatics go as war against each other. Burning flags, shouting slogans, hitting each other during match. Every kind of commotion can be expected out of Indo-Pak game. And now once again for yet another time these two rivals meet each other on 22 yards battle field.

What I personally feel that result of this game will not be decided by skills and tactics of players alone. Since we know that its more than just a game for people of two countries. The result of the match will also affect more than just players or world cup standings. So obviously the result will have stakes of more influential people, people who by moving strings from outside of the 55 yards circle can swing the result of the game. People who can cash in with the result of this high profile game. And people who by their political tactics prove their might in the world.

Major stake holders for the result will be bookies. India and Pakistan have considerable amount of representation in gulf countries. Countries where money and power has no limit. All this money from gulf circulates into the bating business. Millions of dollars flow into the system. Influence and power is used to fix the result of match. Many Indian and Pakistan players were involved and proved guilty in such cases. The result fixing or even the spot fixing give bookies golden opportunities to earn fortunes. A simple logic says that if Pakistan is a least favorite team to win the match then it will have a lesser value in bating and then if it wins it will surely give more money to the bookies. So there is a high chance of a minnow to win in a fight like this. That is why Ireland/B’desh wins were not as shocking as they seemed.

One more particular stake holder is Mr. Sharad Pawar the president of ICC this year. In Maharashtra politics Mr. Sharad pawar and Bal Thakre are similar to Indo-Pak. Bal Thakre a radical politician has announced that he will not let Pakistan to play in Mumbai. And now if Pakistan wins this match it will have to play Finals in Mumbai. Sharad Pawar who is chairman of International Cricket Council is responsible for smooth execution of tournament. So it’s actually a political tug of war between to senior politicians for whom to let play in Mumbai. If Sharad Pawar wants to keep good rapport with Thakre he should not let Pakistan win the match. And if he wants to show his might in international politics he can make Pakistan win and challenge Thakre for supremacy. Hence the result of match is more important for these two than anyone else.

Our beloved PM Mr. Manmohan Singh has asked Pakistan PM Gillani to come to India to witness this battle in Mohali. And moreover the invitation is accepted by Pakistan who was on no dialogue terms with India since the 26/11 attack. With 40k odd lunatics cricket fans present on Indian soil for greatest battle of cricketing world these two leaders of the fighting countries will witness it in the stadium itself. The swing in the dominance will make the crazy people in ground shout some indecent slogans and improper gestures towards them. I don’t know how they are preparing themselves for witnessing this crazy game of madness. Only if they know the result they can come upon a mutually agreeable condition.

Last but not the least (at least in numbers) are Indian cricket fans and Media. The pressure put through twitter and facebook is enormous. The confidence fans are showing upon their teams is extra ordinary. Over appreciations for win against Australia has raised the spirit of all Indians. And in all this commotion we are just forgetting the non sporting aspects of this game. Over commercialization of cricket via IPL has introduced a great amount of foul play into the game. It’s more fishy than it ever had. It’s not just a game this Wednesday that will be played, It’s a war. A commercial, Political and a Social war!!

Let Mohali be drenched in the rain of blows for this war. Till then let us prepare our shelters amidst the Clouds of War!

Jugaad

In Dil Se on February 26, 2011 at 12:12 am

Jugaad is a magical word. Just like in fairy tails calling “aabra ka dabra” can bring out anything out of thin air, Jugaad can get anything done in real word. It is like the ultimate solution to every problem, last resort to every journey, only way out from point of no return. In fact it is the greatest skill god has given to mankind to survive in the race of evolution. Jugaad has great powers. If someone just assures you that he has some jugaad to help you out, you are most confident that your work will certainly be done. Jugaad is god’s helping hand on earth.

Jugaad literally means  “an arrangement or a work around, which has to be used because of lack of resources”. It is the product of highest level of creativity and imagination to utilize the limited and cheap resources to give out the desired result. It has even found a place in unofficial management dictionary for its widespread reach and effectiveness. Moreover since it is practically so spontaneous & genuine that there is no any danger of copyright crime or intellectual property theft. Doing a Jugaad is legally accepted since most of the times it is used to find out way around the legal obligations. Jugaad can be used to repair something, buy or sell or just create what you want with what you have. Jugaad satisfies all, no harm to any one cause everyone knows and respects Jugaad. Jugaad has such a great public recognition.

When I was in engineering college my professor used to give us practical assignments. The assignment used to be to develop or test something theoretically and then do it practically using the given resources. In theory, as engineering practices, we used to come up with impractical solutions. For example calculations of weights up to mg accuracy, dimensions with micrometeoritic tolerance and  all. But practically these precisions were impossible to achieve with government college lab apparatuses. Clumsy weights and worn out scales used to create a big question in front of us to prove our theory practically. Bright brains of the class used to fail over this challenge. But our professor had only one solution to each question. “Do some Jugaad! I just want this damn thing to move, I don’t care how you do, But just Do!”

Then we used to work around, wrecking all the theories asunder, managing our solutions to change as per the given resources, deleting this, adding that, doing everything possible, thinking again and again we used to find a perfect Jugaad which had the capability to meet our professors acceptations. And just to increase the competitiveness he used to make groups and the group with best Jugaad used to win the highest rewards.

Jugaad is my most valuable learning from college. It was used not only in practical lab or examination hall but also more prominently in relationships. In fact Jugaad was another name for one’s girl/boy friend. If a boy is Jugaadu then he certainly has a lot many girls around him. If you look closely you can actually understand why a relationship is more or less like a Jugaad. Just like in Jugaad you have to work around in a relationship with available resources. Most of the times these worked out ways are illogical and practically impossible. Still just like Jugaad relationship work out in spite of everyone’s lack of confidence in it. And just like Jugaad they triumph and inspires in the tales of following generations.

So this dexterous Jugaad has many advantages. But to do a Jugaad is not a child’s play. Jugaad needs imagination, High level of creativity, a skill of thinking out of the box. Jugaad can not be learnt it should come from within. You can always learn how a Jugaad is done, but you can never understand how some one has invented it. In fact every scientific invention or innovation is nothing but a Jugaad. The first man who was too weak to push a flat rock on the ground did a Jugaad to come up with the wheel. Claw less man came up with Jugaad of stones to start the stone age. As the needs increased he developed the Jugaad of metals, machines, computers, laptops, microchips, mobile phones and lot many to come. Anthropologically speaking the only reason behind Man’s intelligent evolution is his ability to use the things around him to do the desired work (that is why chimps are close to Man ).In other words our whole success of evolutionary  excellency is nothing but Jugaad. A Jugaad which has continued for years and will continue till the last Man is alive.

Namaste!

Welcome to my first blog people!

I think the first blog should tell something about me. I know none of the readers of this article (except me ) are eager to know who I am or how I am or any personal details like that. But as a human tendency I’ll just spill it out in front of you.

But before that I must ask you a Question!

Have you ever felt that you have an alter ego? A person inside you whom you are ashamed of? A part of mind that is so medieval that it can not be opened up in 21st century civilization?

My answer to this was a shy Yes! Out of this world of 0s and 1s I am a different person. My opinion counts there. My relatives, younger brothers, sisters look at me with an eye of admiration. They expect me to be more conservative, Good boy kind of. Where as my friends from college, close buddies those who kinda spoiled me know a different side of me.

I know this Tug of war between alter egos is not new to Our generation. A generation which has ethics of old days to follow and trends of new era to live with. And that is why I gave birth to Farjiaadmi. Farjiaadmi is a counterfeiter. A person who can give you anything anytime but with no guarantee of it’s authenticity. The validity of his statements can be true but should not be questioned. He will ask for o credit, or no recognition but at the cost of no responsibility. He is just Farji!

Now when i have just wrecked your confidence in me i’ll tell you theme of this writing endeavor!

I am a 25 years old (which is India’s demographic age) Indian Engineer. I live in a metro, Serve a MNC, Do some critical stuff which benefits owner of my company and India and this Universe (According to our HR). I am single with no commitments. And as I am like most of other Indians; I wanna be their(our) voice.

The voice will cry out loud some of our regular issues like……

Daily frustration from office/ Goverment policies/ Retarded TV shows/ People behaviors/ Intelligent Conversations/ Findings/ Short Abstract Stories/ reviews/ Photos that my alter Ego will click. Everything and much more will be put in here for Your and mine and entire virtual world’s benefit.

So all in all Farjiaadmi is not a real person but has issues of some real world. And with this food for thought I conclude my prologue and an Honest introduction to FarjiAadmi 🙂
